I wake at 7am in La Romana, Spain. I travel to Spain regularly as this is where my highly skilled craftsmen and factory are based.  I believe strongly in working closely with the product from the design through to development and production.

Travelling internationally so regularly with my work requires comfort! I always pack my essential travel luxuries; travel candles by Diptyque, bath oil by Neom Organics, an Ipad and a cosy cashmere jumper for the flight.

I have a beautiful continental breakfast in the sun bleached courtyard garden of my hotel, surrounded by cascading sweet smelling roses.  I indulge in the invigorating locally grown orange juice and fruits, freshly baked croissants and a cafetiere of coffee for the busy day ahead.

My product development manager picks me up at 8.30am and we drive to my factory.  As soon as we arrive we discuss my new collection designs and new materials.  They discuss their latest innovations in new craftsmanship techniques.  We constantly evolve and create together and it is such an integral part of the design process.  Together we bring the highest level of shoe design to our customers.

Some of our craftsmen here in Spain have over 40 years of shoe making experience and still believe they are learning constantly.  This desire to constantly improve and innovate keeps our shoe designs at the forefront of style and it means the designs consistently retain their integrity.

At around 7pm I return to the hotel and have a delicious traditional Spanish dinner and a glass of wine outside overlooking the vineyards, surrounded by the tranquil gardens and panoramic view of the rolling hills in the distance.

It gives me time to contemplate the week ahead and absorb all that we have experienced that day.
